Federation of German-American Clubs e.V.
In 1948, 17 German-American Clubs organized themselfs into a federation of G-A Clubs (in Germany),which now includes over 40 Clubs. This national federation makes it possible for all regional clubs to co-operate at a national and even international level.
This co-operation opens up many opportunities, among them the sponsorship of youth programms and student exchanges as well as culural contacts to other clubs.
Erfurt University was originally foundet in 1392 and was continously in operation until 1816. It was re-established in 1994 and is now the newest university in Germany. Its main fields of study are: philisophy, politic science, pedagogical science and theology.
Especially worth mentioning is the international orientation in which English is equally recognized along with German as a Language in which courses can be taught and exams can be given.
Lectures presented by our Club with the support of the
Department of North American History
and open to the general public are especially popular.
